Two hired guards would see the rider approaching, they'd give each other a look, "ain't supposed to be another visitor for another hour or so?"

"Yup," said the other.

"might be another registered Gifted?" said the one.

"Yup," said the other.

"Real helpful Darryl, but I guess if she comes this way I'll ask, " said the one.

"Yup, be wise yeah?"

The man huffed and stepped out from the large wooden door holding a hand up, "hold up misses," said the one as Darryl leaned on his battle axe letting the other feller handle business. Neither men would recognize the stranger (if she had red hair though it would have been another story.

"if yer coming to the Keep you'll need an appointment, unless yer recently registered and lookin' to speak to Lord Allemeade."

Seeing the two… soldiers? Guards… well that was certainly new. She slowed her horse, but didn’t stop until she was a safe distance away. Listening to what they offered up, and she tilted her head in an almost innocent manner. They didn’t recognize her, and that was good.

“Oh,” the surprised sound left her. “I wasn’t sure how to get an appointment, and after the registration,” she looked back in the direction of the castle. “It was a long day,” she admitted almost sheepishly, tucking her chin for a moment before looking back at the one who stepped forward to talk to her. “Would… he be around to speak to? Or should I come back…?” She had a feeling they wouldn’t turn her out to return at another date if he was inside…

Darryl piped in, "she wants to see the Lord, Phillip," the other man, Phillip, hadn't even got to reply so he frustratingly looked at Darryl before returning to the lady.

"Lord Allemeade is in the back corner of the property," Phillip began to explain as Phillip explained where Lord Allemad could be found, "you won't miss'em misses, promise ya' that."

If the stranger continued forward further onto the property it wouldn't take long from where she was to see one Lord Remiel Allemeade, only it wasn't. It wasn't the man she'd known even if years and years had passed, instead she'd see what looked like a giant moving tree under the shade of a very large tree in the back corner of the farm.

If she ventured further still, unafraid, she'd see that the even bigger tree was a literal tree house.

She only let the horse remain in place long enough that Phillip was able to promise her that she wouldn’t miss him. Flashing him a smile, she thought about how nice this would be for him one day if this went south. How he survived the Eldouir who came upon the Allemeade’s keep, and she wondered what twists him and the other might add to it. “Thank you, my lord,” she dipped her head as she passed the two, angling her face just enough to keep them from snagging a great view of it.

Inside, she looked around at all that had changed and found herself… well quite surprised at the literal moving tree under an even larger tree. One that held… a home. Well, that’s one way to avoid flooding that might come in the Ver season. Her horse started making nervous noises under her, and she placed a steadying hand on its neck. “Easy.” She murmured.

As she approached further, she kept looking for the blonde, but something told her she wouldn’t find him. She also surveyed the area around them, marking others that might be around and what they were doing, if there was another exit… what was her quickest exit if needed. Or possible… when.

“Lord Allemeade?” She called, her voice perhaps a touch softer than her usual, as she tried to keep up her facade.

Treemiel was assisting some workers with placing glass into the top most window of the tree house, a few workers remained on the ground while others seemed to be suspended by vines from treemiel's back helping place the fragile glass.

One worker heard the cloaked stranger call out for Allemeade, he turned looked at her and started shouting up, "TELL LORD ALLEMEADE HE HAS A VISITOR!"

And so the call went up to the next man, then the next, and finally the man suspended closest to Treemiel seemed to speak to the tree, which turned its head back towards the stranger with emerald green eyes. It spoke, "BRING THEM AROUND BACK," and then it began to lower everyone at the same time either to the ground or on a level of the tree house. It headed toward the back of the tree house and it appeared to shrink until it disappeared into the tree tops.

Remiel began to dress once he knew he was alone, he was keeping this little hidden section for himself, for Luna. He haf already thoughts about building a small shed here. Still, lingering in the back of his mind was Honora at the moment, she hadn't returned, so with his open correspondence with the Queen Remiel had sent a letter to Scout to inform the Queen that Honora was missing.

Back around where the stranger waited a man approached, "Lord Allemeade said to go around that large tree house, you'll see yellow flowers misses, follow them it'll lead ya straight there."

Myla... she had to admit she was impressed. From the work that was being made with the multiple people, with the literal tree that spoke and then seemed to shrink and disappear into the home above. She almost laughed, because as it made its way out of sight... Remiel. It was the only thing that made sense, her mind putting together little bits as she stared where he had disappeared until another man approached her.

The tree had spoken, but she slowly dismounted as the other man approached and told her where to go. Follow the yellow flowers... she nodded and still found her hands lingering on the reigns of her horse. A soft clearing of the throat from the man had her laugh a bit and hand over the reigns. Well, here went nothing...

Those hazel eyes gazed up at the tree, the different layers of the home. She wondered if it was multiple homes, or just one large one conntected in ways she couldn't see. Sure enough, the yellow flowers appeared and she slowed. Looking for the blonde, rather than the tree... or so she hoped. Taking a steadying breath, she waited for him...

Remiel had redressed and was tidying the clearing space waiting for the guest, he assumed they were registered and seeking him out to hopefully discuss a place at the Keep. For now Remiel was still between the new tree-state (estate) and the old clearing in which he occupied now, but slowly more and more things were finding their way into the tree-state. He heard them approaching as he folded the last shirt tucking it away into a bag, "What can I do for you stranger?" he asked finally giving the person his full attention, he paused to wait for them to remove their hood, "You can take that off, you are I'm a safe space here," he reassured them with a kind smile.

And there he was. Five years, give or take a few months, and here he was. Blonde as ever, a bit more tan and she had a feeling he had been spending quite a good amount of time outside recently. That smile, something about it reassured her and angered her all at once as she looked to him. He had chosen to run from her… and left her longing for a male who had destroyed her family’s home.

“Is that a promise? That this is a safe place?” She asked, hands rising and hesitating on the hood. Would he remember her voice alone? Had there been enough time that he had forgotten about her over all?

He froze for a moment as they spoke, the smile slowly fading. Was it possible?

'that this is a safe space?'

There was no mistake. The smile was gone because that voice, he knew it and it wasn't until the second question that it had sunk in but..the hair hanging out from under hood was dark, it confused him because he couldn't forget that voice. Remiel would have never forgotten it, like with Bryce it was engraved so deeply in his mind...in his heart...he wouldn't ever forget it. However he had to be sure and he daringly stepped toward her reaching to grab the hood himself.

The smile faded, and there was a tension that seemed to sink into him that made that familiar buzz start up in her, one that had protected her her whole life. He didn’t say anything, didn’t reassure her that what he said was true. A small almost dark smile curled on her lips, because this wasn’t a safe place for her. She knew that would be possibility before she came, but now it was staring her quite literately in the face.

She dropped her hands, the familiar buzz still there but she allowed him to reveal her face. The freckled face that was now framed by unnaturally dark hair. “You didn’t really answer that question, canary.” She might’ve had a smug smile on her face, but those hazel eyes were studying him and his next move.

"myla," was all he could muster for the moment, so many emotions and feelings twisted his gut and seized his tongue but he didn't retreat away despite every fiber screaming that he should...he had done things...Remiel had made choices years and years and years ago that he never thought he would face. One being the fallout with the Eldouir, he expected the fallout with Hiram because they were so vastly different but this one...this freckled faced hazel eyed one standing before him he dreaded it. There was no way she didn't hate him because she had lowered every wall just about for him, or so he had believed and he had picked his family and Lorendale over her....but if she thought it was so easy she'd be wrong.

He loved her. Spent years trying to make himself hate her so he could get over her but in this moment trapped between old feelings and forced he was struck dumb.

He could remember one time trying to count every freckle, he had lost count between various other moments. Had he missed those hazel eyes...

"...it's safe, but am I?" he had found his voice again. Somehow.

So he did remember her, her chin ticking up higher as he said her name and a long silence stretched between them. She remembered those times with him, when she had trained with him, when he reached for her and dared to kiss her. The tension, the way she had tried to keep a distance between them… she had expected he would come with them… even with all her walls… she thought he’d go with her.

It was safe… for her. “I had plenty of moments since I’ve arrived to cause problems for you.” She said, lingering her gaze with his before she reached for the cloak ties around her throat and undid it, tossing it onto a nearby chair and looking around the place. “A tree house.” She commented, her arms folding over her chest as she slowly turned towards him. “And a wall…”

A brow raised as she finally felt like she could breathe with a little bit of space between them, even though her hands flexed because she wanted to reach for him. “But no collars.” She slowly moved towards him. “Seems you haven’t done too awful in the last five years since you left us,” she said ‘us’ bitterly but what she really meant was ‘me’.

He heard her bitterness and he wasn't a fool to think for a moment she meant 'us' the Eldouir, she had always fought against whatever there...was...between them it must have been the last pieces of the walls she had that Remiel could have never jumped high enough to get over. Remi couldn't move and he didn't move once even when she stepped closer, he could almost feel the heat of her body or maybe it was just the fact she was standing before him in the moment.

He still listened to every word she said, "not awful, no, but it sure as hell hasn't been easy since you left with your family," he emphasized those two words a little more sharply then he wanted, " he felt like he wasn't breathing at all but holding in some air of tension still, "Myla I...we...dammit," he couldn't think, "why are you here? Did you come back to finish what Hiram didn't? Make me beg for forgiveness about my choices? Because I won't, I made a choice same as you did that day and we can't ever change it, no amount of apologies will change any of it plus," 'you were never going to love me, you didn't run to me begging me to go with you because I would have!' was what he wanted to say but he stopped speaking. He had to focus on not wanting her..., "why didn't you tell me what was going to happen, what he planned to do? Did you even care at all?"
