Akagi was now king; Ophelia, the queen. Hadrian knew it would be the case eventually, but he certainly didn’t think he’d live to see it. Akagi was a more familiar figure than Kimora, simply because he’d had more of a presence in Nevermere over the years. He’d be lying if he didn't acknowledge that the change was a welcome one—for Nevermere and him personally.

He listened, accepting Akagi’s straight-to-business attitude and dipping his head in respect.

“It is the burden of royals to have their failings made public. Be assured you will receive no judgment from me, your majesty. I only wish to help you provide for Arynn Frey’s future security.” When the proposal was mentioned, Hadrian raised his eyebrows in interest and inclined his head in an invitation to continue.

Akagi appreciated Hadrians indulgence so still keeping it straight to buiness Akagi pressed on, "I want to take a page from Nevermere with my Peacekeepers, I saw the structure and order of the Nevermere military and what happened here today with the communication failure to the lack of preparedness of the Peacekeepers was eye opening; I can promise we have the power, our enchantments have been known to wipe out entire forces on the battlefield but we lack the strategy or well we lack what my brother in law has in the forms I admire about your units...."

Hadrian listened, remaining neutral. Yes, Nevermere’s rigid structure and commitment to military excellence had made it a force to be reckoned with. Arynn Frey’s persistent valuation of intellectual discovery as a virtue had handicapped them in many ways—or so it would seem from where the commander stood.

“What do you propose, your majesty?” For the new ruler had yet to make a definitive ask.

Akagi didn't know how to say it any other way, "We are going to plan a war Commander, I need my Peacekeepers ready for war and I need your help and my brother in laws help to get them ready for war," Akagi had made up his mind on this, it wouldn't be rushed off tomorrow or maybe even by next season but what had happened today had to be answered. The Eldouir needed to know that not everyone was going to let a biting dog lay, "In return we will be making enchantments to supply and aid not only the Peacekeepers but for the Nevermere military as well...joining or not in the conquest of war...to honor our alliance with one another for the help should King Cassian agree to aide us in our preparation...can you take this to the King? Let him ponder on it, and in three days time meet me here in Arynn Frey to discuss and decide later what he feels the need to do."

Hadrian’s expression remained set, the result of many years of military training. But had he let his emotions show, the prince—no, king’s—proposal would have raised his eyebrows in shock. Kimora Llewelyn had been protective of Arynn Frey’s magic. Sure, at times she’d made exceptions, but her standard had always been to keep safe what was theirs to keep. Such an offer from Akagi was a stark departure from this philosophy, and undoubtedly an opportunity for Nevermere to enhance its own capabilities. To give new teeth to the wolf that had its maw around Terra Nova’s neck—whether its inhabitants realized it or not. Hadrian wondered in what other ways the new king might change course from his mother’s ways. For none would surely top the prospect of the peaceful kingdom going to war.

“I will take your proposal to the king,” Hadrian dipped his head in deference, “In the meantime, consider my soldiers at your disposal for whatever you need to fortify your defenses. I will return to Nevermere at once to meet with his majesty, so long as there is nothing else…”

Hadrian left an opening, waiting to be dismissed. Though not of his kingdom, Akagi was the reigning monarch in this land and Hadrian would honor that.

Just as Akagi was about to dismiss the Commander two Peacekeepers approached with a small box, "One last thing Commander if you, these are for the Kings Witch @alys, it is pain buttons and calming stones, for you a portal key and one speaking stone for easier communication between us, it opens directly into my office at the palace and the soeaking stone links to mine here alone," he nodded to the Peacekeepers to hand the box over, "A extra healing tent as well, she should be out of the clear by now but just in case anyone should find a use for them in the meantime. Could you also let my wife know I wish to speak with her and to let her know the children are safe, I need her for just a day to come see me and Thank you Commander for the use of your soldiers and taking back what I ask to the King...tell him that I thank him for answering my call, he doesn't know how much I appreciate it."
