The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

The day had come, a Royal announcement had been made the day before, everyone could attend and for those who couldn't of course would hear as the entire thing would be broadcast into the other cities at designated gathering spots where enchanted horns would deliver the events. Meanwhile at the palace the cabinet room had been transformed and was at full capacity with attendees.
The Ministers were going to be positioned around the empty throne seats, besides those gathered the only others in the large room was the former Queen Kimora Llewellyn and her husband Kite they stood beside the throne graceful as ever. A Hush fell over the crowd when a young woman stepped to the center of the room and when she spoke her voice carried even though she spoke as one did in normal conversation (a voice enhancing necklace around her neck gave her the ability).
"Thank you for gathering for today's special royal announcement, let us bring in our proud and intellectual Ministers..."
(Note: I would first like to have the Ministers make their entrance and take a seat. Any order is fine have the speaker announce position and name. Once the Ministers are in the thread I'll jump back in and continue! @keion @bowen @calanthe Sylas Llewellyn @kaveri @kester @kezia _ ; this can be a gathering thread or political! However you want to use it!)

Sylas had been waiting for this day. For a man who strongly preferred order to chaos and who had a love for organization and lists, he felt a sense of relief that the day had come for the announcement to be made, crossing this important step off the list would feel like a great burden lifted from his shoulders. Lucky for him, Kezia was right there along with him too which always had a way of settling his nervous mind.
As 'Ambassador' did not even have the title of 'Minister' in it, Sylas was among the last to be announced. He preferred it this way anyway as he didn't particularly want excessive attention to be on him. Becoming the Ambassador was an exciting opportunity but he wasn't so naïve to not realize that it would be a new challenge for him given his usual anti-social preferences. Now he would need to learn how best to converse with not only people of other kingdoms but with their highest ranking individuals.
"Ambassador, Prince Sylas Llewellyn."
His name was announced and he moved quietly to join the others without a wave or even a nod of the head towards the crowd.
Her life had been constructed for this moment. She was meant to be great, better than all those before her. So despite her young age, Calanthe would be ready to take on the responsibility. Standing amongst those who had years of experience on her, the young enchantress knew she'd just have to prove it to all of them like she had to King Akagi.
Announced not first but not last, Calanthe stood in the middle, waiting to be called, glad to be neither. All she could do was smile and wait her turn, not something she was classically good at, but she managed not to hop from foot to foot. And when she was gestured forward she smiled and walked forward, ready to join the rest of the cabinet.
"Minister of Enchantments, Calanthe Beckett."
While Calanthe had designs to take the Blackwood name, it seemed best to not remind Aryn Frey that there was a hefty amount of Blackwood influence. That and she had honestly gotten too wrapped up in everything to talk with @keion about it.

Cordelia hadn't expected anything big to happen to her anymore, because she getting older, but her nephew had realised that older also meant wiser. She still felt honoured that he had asked her to assist him, and she would do so with pleasure and determination.
"The King's Hand, Cordelia Olivarius."
She walked through the room with a smile, towards the throne, the king, her brother-in-law and his wife, Kimora. With that same cheeky smile on her face she watched the ministers get announced and applauded for each and every one of them. Akagi had made some great choices with assembling his new cabinet, and she could only hope that Kimora was as proud of him as she was.
Truth be told, attending the coronation of Arynn Frey’s new king was about the last thing Kester felt like doing. Although five years had passed since she last fought on a battlefield, it had only taken a few hours on the wreckage of one to unearth all of the ugliness that the passage of time had mostly buried. Now, she closed her eyes and saw the ruins of a life her people had started to rebuild. She breathed and smelled the iron tang of blood and the sickly stench of death. And in the quiet moments in between everything else, she ached. In the hollow cavern of her chest, in the pit of her gut, in her very bones - everywhere.
Guilt had a way of consuming everything. Even Walnut was not entirely immune to its effects.
Kester suspected that Walnut had been more helpful than herself in rousting @kaveri from the bottom of the barrel and cleaning him off enough to possibly pass for sober if one didn’t look too closely. She had half a mind to join him - after all, she couldn’t remember her newest failure if she was too drunk to form coherent thoughts - but one of them had to at least attempt responsibility, so here she was. Here they both were. Proud and intellectual, apparently.
“Ministers of the Dresmondi, Kester and Kaveri.”
Although Kester briefly scanned the rest of the room when her name was announced, the river otter draped across her shoulders showed more curiosity. As if he knew more than a handful of Arynnites in Elyusian, he searched the crowd for any familiar faces, and when Kester turned toward their seats, he offered the audience a friendly wave.

Cassian was in attendance, of course, with his queen, @iliana, at his side. Cass was there, too, standing still and proud with his parents. The king of Nevermere had hoped for this day, but he'd never expected it to come so quickly. Then again, no one had expected the Eldouir to attack Arynn Frey. It had been humbling for the continent. Arynn Frey and Nevermere were the two greatest powers, and one had just been rolled on its belly. Cassian was determined the same would not be true for Nevermere.
Iliana was smiling at Cassian Rainecourt and Cass’ sides. The head of wild curls down as her hand rested on Cass’ shoulder, watching the court be announced and where they settled. Who she remembered and who was a new face to her. Her eyes lingered briefly on the Dresmondi and let her gaze snag on one of them… recognizing her but not exactly how. Just that she knew she had come across her before, long ago.
Despite what she knew had happened here, she found herself happy for the new King, and she looked forward to them working together more.
Kezia might have arrived with Sylas Llewellyn, but she knew they wouldn’t enter the room together. Her hand lingered in his for a moment before he was slipping out and announced. Ambassador. She had many things to learn from him, as her position was something on a much smaller scale… and not quite the same. But any excuse (not that she needed one anymore) to spend time with him was a good one.
She’d enter just behind the other two, being announced as well.
“Minister of the Dresmondi, Kezia.”
Before she’d find her way to sitting beside @kester and @kaveri in her seat. Giving them a small flash of smile as she settled in.

Akagi and Ophelia stood quietly, hand in hand, with their children as they waited for his Mother to make her official announcement of stepping down from the throne. Upon her final words the new King and Quee would be called forward:
"Let us bring forth our new King and Queen, our royal majesties King Akagi Llewellyn and Queen Ophelia Rainecourt," the voice called as the royal family moved out into the open greeted by a thunder of applause and cheering. Akagi and his family began walking toward the end of the room to the thrones, Akagi waving and smiling at the people who loved him. It was shocking to hear just how many had wanted a change in Arynn Frey, a welcome change it seemed.

There was a swelling of pride in Sylas' chest as he watched Akagi come out with his family, officially announced as the new King and Queen. His applause was still very subdued, his gloved hands tapping together with almost no sound but Sylas had never been a very loud or excitable person. That didn't mean he didn't feel it on the inside. He could send the stirrings of change and he felt he was ready for it, especially with Kezia at his side to help with anything that felt uncomfortable.

Ophelia was proud to stand alongside her husband, her king. The once-princess did not shrink from the applause and the uproar. She stood with purpose, looking every bit the Rainecourt Julius had raised her to be. She floated alongside him toward the throne. When Akagi took his, Ophelia would sit on her throne, eyes going to Cassian Rainecourt for any sign of affirmation.

She applauded loudly at the sight of the new king and queen entering the room. She applauded again when they were crowned, with a huge smile on her face and a little, proud tear in her eye.
Then the woman would move to pick up another crown, a much smaller one. Cordelia walked towards her nephew and his wife, and smiled at Lorelle.
"And let us applaud for the princess, princess Lorelle Llewellyn!"
The crowd would loudly clap while Cordelia placed the crown on top of the princess' head. She pinched Lorelle's cheek and winked at her with a smile before returning to her place next to the thrones.

Kimora had remained peacefully withdrawn throughout much of the ceremony. She had been preparing for this day for a while. She was getting older after all. The queen knew that she wasn't immortal. Although, she had rather been hoping that it would happen on her own terms. Fate had decided otherwise however, and maybe that was for the best. Up until the attack at her wall, Kimora had been wholeheartedly proud of her achievements as monarch. She watched her eldest son in silence, wondering what manner of king he would make, she could only hope that the future would be kind to him.
Her gaze would sometimes drift towards the crowd, watching their reaction.
As the crown was placed upon her son's head, Kimora would applaud, as would her husband, sitting next to her. There was a slight smile on the proud parents' lips. The queen wouldn't be making any speeches today. Not because she didn't want to, but so as not to distract from who was really important here: Arynn Frey's new king.

Akagi was in a jovial and stoic mood as he sat beside his wife on their thrones surrounded by his children and cabinet. His Mother would be the one to crown them and as the crowns sat upon their heads, then his new Hand and Aunt would crown the Crowned Princess to which Akagi would triumphantly clap proud of his daughter. After this Akagi stood and took the device from the Royal announcer to amplify his own voice.
Climbing the stairs to a small gold encrusted podium the King would give his speech as a Hush fell over the crowd, "My people, my fellow Arynnites a few weeks ago a great change swept through our kingdom both bad and good. We were attacked by a family of Gifteds hailing from the south of our great kingdom. The Eldouir," the name swept through the crowd in whispers but Akagi pressed on, "A billowing cancer of a family whose only goal is to destroy and corrupt, a cancer I believe that tested our mettle as people nonetheless a cancer no kingdom can ignore any longer. As your new King and Crowned protector of Arynn Frey I can not and will not turn a blind eye to their transgression against us. Against the Dresmondi who we failed to protect, for as long as I've existed and you've exsited we've known true peace! Inactivity means death and we must be active my people," he paused knowing his words will be heavily sat upon their shoulders, "War is to man what maternity is to a woman. From a philosophical and doctrinal viewpoint, I do not believe in perpetual peace....but to gain peace my countrymen we must prepare for war...and we shan't be doing this alone, no, in lew of our alliance with Nevermere we will not face these monsters alone," he looked toward the direction of his brother in law, "Things are changing and will continue to change but remain steadfast Arynnites because history can not lie just as recorded data will prove: we are not a nation to trifle with," Akagi couldnt gage truly what this meant for his nation that for so long experienced nothing but peace, "The Eldouir have woken a sleeping giant, and for whatever they call for their maker I hope they are given mercy for I shall show them none in return."

Akagi was many things—a loving husband, a playful father, but Ophelia had at times doubted whether he could ever be serious enough to take on the full mantle of royalty. But to see him now, he looked every bit the king he’d been raised to be. Ophelia smiled with pride, happy to be at his side, even as he foreshadowed the war that he’d spoken of before. Ophelia concealed the surprise on her face. To hear war declared in such plain terms, before they were armed and ready to march…Ophelia scanned the crowd as if an Eldouir spy might be lurking somewhere in their midst.
Ophelia hoped Akagi was ready. They could afford no mistakes, and the anxiety that she was prone to sprung up in her chest. Her eyes sought Cassian Rainecourt, though she knew his features would betray nothing, just as hers did.
