The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

While his brother was a man who was known to be kind, thoughtful, and a man who could smile and laugh easily, to hear Akagi speak about the future of Arynn Frey and the Eldouir was nearly out of character for him. Or so it seemed to Sylas. Perhaps he’d been wrapped up in his own life to pay much attention to how his brother had changed over the years.
As Akagi spoke of the Eldouirs Sylas’ gaze moved towards @kezia, trying to gauge her reaction to this declaration of war. If she looked towards him he’d try to express his concern and support silently, though it had as much of a chance of appearing like he was being harsh or stern. Meaningful looks had never been a strong suit.
He felt ready though. Ready to take on his role of Ambassador as Akagi saw fit. Ready to see Arynn Frey turn their focus outside of themselves. Ready to see where this new path would take them.
In possession of a magical necklace that wards off offensive magic attacks against him, a ring that allows him to suppress magic, and can turn into werewolf at will.

Cassian’s gaze found Ophelia Rainecourt’s. His expression gave no indication of his reaction to the new king’s speech. He looked on, unmoving. A time to talk would come later. For now he stood, representing Nevermere, a clear display that the great kingdom stood with Arynn Frey in some capacity.
Iliana listened to Akagi, remembering the conversation the two of them had had before. About the Arynnite that had been staying within her kingdom as her guest. And then her eyes moved across the room that was filled with four kingdoms in that moment. Arynn Frey, Dresmond, Lorendale, and Nevermere.
There was something so powerful in that realization. Yet also terrifying. That one single family… was terrorizing entire kingdoms. Nevermere was truly the only one untouched by them, which made those green eyes cut to the side then. For how long? She almost felt shame in thinking it, but she had to. Even if they never broke the border because of the magic of Nevermere… they’d make a move there eventually.
Her lessons with Kennet, Norah, and even just observing Cassian in her years kicked in, and with her own touch of Iliana, she smiled towards the new royal family. This was the time to celebrate, but Iliana knew war was coming now. It was just the question of when, not if.
Kezia sat watching Akagi Llewellyn with curiosity burning in her gaze. With a deadly hope that she had somehow still found after everything. After Dresmond, after Coheed, after the gifted, after even here. Where she felt most hesitant now, was Nevermere. They had promised help. But she had yet to see Zevran or anything news of them headed into Dresmond.
She might have felt the same about what was being said now, had it not been being said to the entire kingdom and even the rulers of others. Her eyes danced to the King of Nevermere, his stoic face. It moved to the Queen of Lorendale, how she was no longer some teenage girl, but a woman and mother.
Eventually her gaze went to Sylas Llewellyn, the intensity of his gaze was felt through her entire being. If there was anyone who’d tell her if she was reading too much into it, it’d be him. Her heart still heavy with the loss, she held herself a little stronger as she sat the lone minister of Dresmond.
