The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Change in how times flows. Was 4 IC seasons, now only 2 IC seasons per 1 OOC year.
5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
It was a busy day, but Augustus was on a rampage. Crossing T’s, dotting I’s, seeing that the crown wasn’t again caught on the back foot. He walked with quick and determined steps to where the gifted woman was being held; the one that shouldn’t have, in his opinion, been given a room at the palace in the first place. A prison would have been a more suitable waiting place, but that hardly mattered now.
Whatever it was Ikisina was doing, the door would open and she’d see two guards enter before the prince followed. There would be a third guard following, standing behind Agustus with his hands behind his back. Perhaps Ikisina would recognize the prince, perhaps she would not. Augustus would assume, however, that she did.
“You are Miss Navarro?” Augustus was clearly not dawdling.

Sina unknowing what been happening outside or has been sitting looking outside the window. She been feeling guilty, she wish she could rewind time and fix the mistake that have been done. She never wanted to hurt Elliot, she was her best friend. Her heart was arching, yet there was nothing she could do about it now.
Her head turned towards the door when she heard the door open and quickly stood up when she saw it was Prince Augustus. Giving him a curtsy, she remember meeting him at the festival with Dresden. She wish she could see him, he always knew what to say. However, he wasn't here. When he asked if she was Miss Navarro she nodded, "Yes, your highness." It clear that she did fill guilty and was sorry for what she did.

Augustus’s expression was neutral, but not unkind. He was Lorendale’s benevolent father, after all, and Ikisina was one of the kingdom’s children. But that did not mean that children did not need discipline on occasion. He had some empathy for her, he supposed: He’d heard the report, and formed his own opinions. A girl without means or position, taken in by an older male ‘benefactor’ who had no doubt had his own agenda, as men often did. But the girl was still responsible for her own decisions, and she’d fully confessed to her wrongdoing. Now all that remained were the consequences.
“You cannot stay here forever, Miss Navarro,” Augustus said in his calm, patient manner, “But neither can you leave this palace without an assurance you will not do further harm. So, Miss,” Augustus held his hand out and the soldier behind him stepped forward and put a brass collar into his hand.
“You either stay in prison or leave with the proper restraints. Which will it be?”

When Ikisina saw the collar in the prince's hand, she felt scared if she go out there wearing the collar then people would know that she was gifted and would attack her. There was a slight fear in her eyes, however, she tried to keep herself composed. She has nowhere to go, she has no one outside these palace walls. "I never meant to hurt anyone. I can't even harm anyone with my gift all I do is help, keep people safe." She feels like she was shaking.
She looked towards the collar, "Even though I won't feel safe wearing the collar, if this what is required of me to show that I will work with the crown." If the guards allowed her she would walk towards the Prince, she was willing to be collard. Trying to hold back her tears but the truth is there wasn't really anything to hold back because she already cried so much since it all unfold it just this scared woman. Scared of what the future holds for her.

Augustus was not particularly moved by the display. His voice, however, was still calm and kind. “Your gift did do harm, Miss Navarro. You admitted it yourself.” For she’d confessed, hadn’t she? Of her own admission, she had no control. And an uncontrolled gifted, however innocuous their gift might seem at the surface, was not something they needed at present.
“It is.” Augustus said, motioning for the guard to come forward. If Ikisina would allow, the guard would close the collar around her neck.

Sina take a deep breath. "I admitted to sleeping with a man after I used my gift, but my gift had no part in that, I can enhance physical abilities, not alter a person's thoughts and feelings." People keep telling her to stop being too emotional. The crown would not understand a girl like how and how life has been for her. Never loved and a man kissed her, a man who she thought cared about her.
feeling the metal from the collar close around her, it was tight around her neck. "Prince Augustus? If I work with someone, to understand my gift more, under guard supervision prove myself useful? Would I be able to do that?"

Augustus hardly heard her. Ikisina was someone without status or function, one who’d been nothing but trouble since the moment she’d been pushed into the queen’s vision. Augustus had no time for her groveling. The collar would close around her neck with a final click.
“You’ll report to authorities here at the palace once every two days to account for your whereabouts and activities,” Augustus said, “If such a time comes where your parole officer determines that you’re safe to move amongst the people with your gift again, your case will come under review. Until then…” Augustus looked at her sternly, “Focus not on your gift but on how you can serve Lorendale without it.”

Sina looked, people don't understand that this girl in front of them have done nothing but try and try. She wishes Dresden was here to help her, but she hasn't seen him in a while. Serve the kingdom without her gift, so basically, be a nobody, hide in the darkness like every single commoner out there. What the point of trying to find a way to serve Lorendale? She looked towards the window she just don't know what to say, she have no hope in carrying on the school because she was teaching the children that they can put their hearts to anything in their put their hearts to it, but she didn't feel like she could do that now.

Augustus considered the matter finished. Classism and prejudice were scourges in any era, and justice in any era was subjective as a result. But in this time, in Lorendale, gifteds could not be trusted, and those without means or status were subject to second-class treatment. Augustus was not a malicious man, but was a product of his upbringing, same as any.
With a nod, Augustus departed with his guard it two, leaving one behind to see Ikisina out of the palace.

Standing there for a moment, a part of her wanted to ask what the point of her going to the parol officers was, she was a commoner. All she did was fucking try. She will never find a reason to be "useful." look at her. She is not a soldier, she runs away from any danger, she is just a librarian. There nothing she can bring to the nation.
She looked at the guard that was left with her she didn't need a guard to make sure she got out the palace. She didn't want to stay here, might be nice, but it isn't home. Being with Elliot was where home is, yet he broke her heart into a million pieces. He made her feel like she was worth more then all the stars in the sky she didn't have to be scared of being who she was. Yet here right now she was scared yet nobody seams to care about her well being.
She took some time to make sure that she got everything she had with her, which was only a couple of books and the dagger that Dresden gave her that was in the bed said table. As she looked at it well it was in the draw she looked at the guard, "This dagger belonged to Mr Dresden Drake, he one of the Royal Gaurds, he gave it to be as form of protection. If you see him... there no point in me having it." There was hurt in her voice as she then started to leave, if the guard tried to touch her to lead her out she pulled away slightly. "I know the way."
