The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Note: This documents Simon's attempted departure from Loren and his destination. His success in either venture will depend on how the plot continues to unfold.
It would be only hours after Simon Mikael’s conversation with Annabeth Porter that he would start to make his way. His wife and his loyal assistant Kelton were the only ones to know the “where”, and Countess Porter was the only other who’d been made aware of his leaving. Perhaps it was naive, but he believed Annabeth would do the right thing. A woman who had suffered so much at the hands of gifteds would see the value in seeing that their power was checked. Surely she would.
Kelton would, through trusted channels, deliver a sealed message to the king. The letter would state where Simon was going: the estate of Felicity Zane . It was there that he would make haste. Felicity would not know that he was on his way. He would depend on their friendship and goodwill to permit him entry. Also stated in his letter to Cassian Rainecourt would be his request: that he be allowed safe asylum in Nevermere.
