The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

Gifted fighting Gifted. To Isaac, it sounded like Gifted were the only ones who had the slightest chance of defeating the Eldouir. He had enhanced strength, but what could he do against a Gift? "Your family has history with them?" he asked. He didn't know much about all of this.
"That sounds useful. You're a human weapon." He was impressed. "All I have is enhanced strength and sight." He chuckled softly. He sounded completely useless next to Othello.

"Ah don't sell yourself short Coheedsman," Othello chuckled clapping the man on the shoulder, "Sure it's hard to compare or live up to a Gifteds multifaceted skill, like not every man could slaughter six royal guards at one time, but you got the grit of a man whose seen bloodshed...I'm sure you've killed as I have...you have the edge of battle experience where most of these," he indicated the youthful side of Nevermeres military and recruits, "soldiers have only just achieved wrestling free their cocks from their trousers, they've tasted nothing of blood.."

The clap on his shoulder and the encouraging words made him grin. He had killed indeed, but probably not as much as Othello. His eye caught the soldiers the man was talking about, and he did have to admit that he too thought most of them would fall in battle immediately. They were young and inexperienced. Training with wooden swords or dull metal ones didn't compare to fighting on the battlefield, with the possibility of dying every single moment. "You're right", Isaac said. "Apart from their witches, Nevermere's soldiers are just men." Of course there were those who could turn into a werewolf, but he didn't know if Othello knew about that and he had been told not to mention the werewolves to outsiders. Most of the higher ups were too old to have a werewolf form. They only had their sword and their regular human strength. "Why do they keep you collared when you're such an asset, then?"

Othello shrugged and tsked, "Yeah their witches, hmm, deadly little things but were you at the ball?" Othello had been, he saw what Octavious had turned into saw what he did to Regan, "There's more than meets the eye when it comes to these men, and even more to these witches," he was talking of course of Alys and her transformation too.
However he'd say no more, if Isacc hadn't been there he still would have perhaps heard whispers amongst the soldiers.
When asked why he was collared Othello chuckled, "Oh well I may not be on the King's best side, I betrayed him before and no one does it twice," was Othello still just a wolf in sheep's clothing?
"...So when I find my neck in the noose Isaac, the man with the better deal is where this ol'boy goes down," he proclaimed, proudly, "King Cassian has afforded me a great many of things; I've adapted and I'm still alive. I stumble, aye, problem with authority but I get shit done...sneaking into Cambria and stealing their leader...me...I need the King just as much as he needs me."
