The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
Ikisina Navarro had kept to her parole. Perhaps that fact would have had little or no significance to the prince in prior times, but circumstances had changed. If the description of Ikisina Navarro’s gift was to be believed, then Augustus had use for her. Though he had his other reasons for calling her as well—he always did.
When she arrived for her parole appointment, the young woman would find herself called to a side room—an unassuming one, one usually used for the miscellaneous business of those keeping the law. But, perhaps to her surprise, she’d find a royal sitting there instead of a common clerk.
“Please, Miss Navarro,” the prince would say, “Have a seat.”

This was just another day, another patrol, she kept her promise to Remiel Allemeade she kept herself low, and she didn't do anything that put herself out there. She tried to be pretend to be happy despite everything, however she is finding it hard to find anything worthy to be happy about. How could she.
Anyway she was guided to the patrol office however, she was a bit surprised that she been asked to go to the side room. Did she do something that made her stand out? but nothing stood out which made her nervous. However, when she walked into the room to see the Prince in there, the same man who collared her, her heart rate started racing. She told herself to keep calm and that she can get through this. That there nothing to worry about.
"Your Highness," She gave him a warm smile as she curtsied in his present.
When he told her to sit, she eyed the chair as she walked over and sat down in the chair. "I hope you are well, your highness." Ikisina tries to keep herself composed. Her hands are placed in front of her, she remind herself to just answer truthfully and to the best of her abilities and she will be fine.

“I am well, thank you.” Augustus’s manner was warm, even fatherly. He smiled at her, taking in her state before proceeding with friendly familiarity. As if Ikisina were someone he’d known and cared for.
“I hear you’ve been fastidiously keeping your parole,” Augustus said, “I must say, Miss Navarro, you’ve shown yourself to be a woman of your word.”

Giving him a warm smile even though week, she was trying to be the friendly person she knew she was. When the Prince mentioned her patrol "It the least I can do, I knew what I did was wrong." Her eyes were soft, she was foolish, and she didn't want to hurt Elliot, it was a sort of pain that will never be taken from her. Don't matter how much she tries to move on, there will always be a gap where there a Elliot size hole in it.

Augustus’s smile only warmed. If the people of Lorendale were his children, it gave a parent reason to be proud when those children were obedient. Acted in their own best interests, and embraced opportunities for change. One of Augustus’s most central beliefs was that in the tenacity of the individual. That people have an incredible capacity for hope and redemption if only they commit themselves to it.
“There are few people that would admit such a thing and fewer more that would work to mend what was broken. I hope you realize what a rare gift that is,” the prince winked, “No pun intended.” He breathed deeply, looking over her records which sat in front of him before turning back to her.
“In this interest of continued service to your kingdom, I have an opportunity for you to continue on your path. As you know there are many who remain skeptical of gifteds—both collared and not—and would stigmatize collars as a thing of shame. I think you’ve proven entirely that they are an opportunity to grow. A temporary measure for long-term benefit. Given that…” He sat up, practically beaming, “I’m offering you an opportunity to serve as an assistant to our new gifted advisor, Florina Bellerose. You will accompany her out into the community as an ambassador of sorts. One who can destigmatize collars, and dispel the fear around them for both gifted and non-gifted alike. Should you perform this service well…” Augustus smiled.
“Well, then perhaps the time will sooner come where your collar will no longer be necessary.”

Sina laughed softly at the Prince's little joke about it being funny, she needed a good laugh after trying so hard at everything she had done and always worried about falling again. However, she listened as the Prince spoke about a job opportunity as an assistant to the gifted advisor, a part of her was shocked about it.
She thought that she would never get a chance to work within the palace because she is a commoner and she isn't a soldier so of course there is very little reason to get offered a position above a maid or a lady-in-waiting. So getting this opportunity to work even as an assistant is a blessing.
"I am honoured, Your Highness for such an amazing opportunity. I am thankful for this chance to help to destigmatize the collars and show that it a chance to learn from our mistakes." She hopes that she is of service and can help Florina in this.

Augustus was clearly pleased. Yes, it was an amazing opportunity. An improbable one, given her class and station. But not everyone noticed a good thing when it was offered, and so he was gratified to know that Ikisina was able to recognize it for what it was: a future.
“That’s wonderful to hear.” The prince signed the parole papers and handed them to her. “Give these to the officer on your way out. Consider your parole ended, my dear. I’ll arrange for you to meet the Countess on the morrow.”

This was indeed a future and she was grateful for this opportunity because she knew that she would never have such a chance again. When the Prince handed her the papers to say that her patrol ended, she was grateful. Her eyes were saying thanks a million times over. However, she feels like thanking him is nothing. She has to prove herself and put the work in to show appreciation. She bowed her head. "Will do Your Highness, is there anything I can help you with before we part?" She asked.

Augustus smiled, shaking his head. “That will be all, Miss Navarro,” He concluded, “I look forward to seeing who you choose to become.” And with that, Augustus dismissed her. After a brief discussion with his guard, he left the office and went back into the private rooms of the palace.
