Ah, the Chaudhari family. While they were known to be dedicated to Nevermere, there were also more mysterious, salacious rumors that clung to that particular surname. Hadrian was not turned off by them at all and instead grinned a little more widely.

“A pleasure, Lady Chaudhari,” Hadrian dipped his head, “And what does a woman like yourself seek at such a soiree as this?” Oh, it was old school, a little corny perhaps, but delivered with the same devilish grin that had talked the knickers off many a wedded woman over the years.

Hadrian chuckled, falling easily into the rhythm of flirtation. Hadrian was no prude—he had quite the reputation himself, though in recent years he’d cleaned up his act. Partially due to his infatuation with Kennet Delaney, and partially as a byproduct of being consumed by his duties. Oh well, he thought, that was no reason a man shouldn’t have a little fun…

“Amazing, well…” Hadrian chuckled, sipping his drink, “If I see any to meet, I’ll let you know.” He offered his hand. “Care to dance, Lady Chaudhari? I’ve found it’s the best way to meet someone properly.”

Hadrian was happy to be led by a beautiful woman. When they took the dancefloor, he navigated her with the ease and experience of one who had been to many a ball over the years. “And so,” He asked as they twirled about, “What is it I should know about Lady Dezembre Chaudhari?”

Hadrian smiled, enjoying the attentions of the younger woman. He was not as much of a casanova as he once was, but the man admittedly still had moves. “A lioness, eh?” He grinned, “Consider me intrigued.” Hadrian liked a woman who played hard to get, and this woman was clearly more forward than he was used to, but he was happy to indulge it for the novelty if nothing else.

“That I enjoy dancing,” Hadrian responded playfully, twirling about the floor, “It’s not so different from sparring when one things about it. Exchanges with a partner, moving as one…” He spun her out then back in again, “Though you are much finer a thing than many I’ve met on the other end of a sword.”
