He wasn't near the king at that particular moment, since there had be no news of an announcement as of yet, and if there had been, he was allowed to walk freely until it started. A soldier approached him, and Isaac was able to spot the weary look in his eye. He understood it even more after the message was delivered to him. It was funny to him, a true Nevermerean soldier delivering a message from the Lorendale Champion to the converted Coheedian gone Nevermerean guard. He must be cursing whoever allowed these outlanders to live in Nevermere. Or maybe not, because that would mean the soldier was cursing the king.

The brown-haired man made his way over to where he had been told he could find Othello. A grin appeared on his face when he arrived and saw/heard the man singing and playing a song. "You're in a good mood", he said, taking a seat next to Othello by the fire, allowing his shoulders to relax. "Or not, judging by those lyrics. Anyone got close to your Vesper woman?" He nudged Othello with his elbow, playfully.

Othello ceased singing when Isaac arrived, he could see the relief on his guard detail, but oh how he wasn't finished...yet.

Still he grinned like a shit eating possum, "Just a gooood mood," Othello exclaimed however he shook his head, "And nay, my dark haired peg legged grouchy witch is still on the market and I do believe her feelings for me are reciprocated my Coheedy friend...love even," Othello played a upbeat tune to hype up the feeling of his words.

"But also, this isn't about love or happiness, I need a favor from you," and the music stopped as those gray blue eyes fell on Isaac for good.

Although he hadn't spent a lot of time together with Othello yet, he quite liked the man. Of course he was unpredictable, loud and all over the place, but that was exactly what Isaac wasn't, which made the a good match.

"Really? I'm happy for you", Isaac responded with a small smile. He still hadn't met Vesper, but he had seen her from a distance at camp. She was exactly as Othello had described her. The melody that Othello had added to his words made him laugh.

But the music stopped, and more serious words followed. "A favor, huh?" He raised an eyebrow but was listening. "I'm listening."

"I need a meeting with Regan, sorry, The Huntsman," Othello quickly corrected himself before sitting his instrument down, "Her heads so far up the
..," again he stopped and corrected his words before he even said them and if that wasn't progress then Nevermere hardly knew her, "She's to preoccupied with the King to see that I get proper training with my Gift and I need it, I need that specialized training or I swear to the weeping floppy tits of a witch goddess I'll die," he mocked dying by leaning against Isaac like a dead body, "Drop fucking dead die..."

Isaac raised an eyebrow when Othello spoke, trying to keep himself from raising the corner of his mouth in a grin. He knew what he was trying to say. Isaac had noticed it as well. Regan was weird when it came to Cassian. He didn't know everything about it, because he hasn't seen them together often, but those few times had told him a lot.

"Why can't you ask her yourself?" he asked, a genuine question, not judging him. "She's not letting you near her?"

Othello messed with some dirt between his legs tearing a little harshly at the grass, "I'm her stain of failure, at least that's how it's been since I stood up to Commander Usher," he sucked air through his front teeth rather sharp, "It was my ship...I took it fairly and that old cunt rim jawing gray haired fuck told me no, it's the King's property. It pissed me off but made me realize," he looked at Isaac with those deadly cold as steel gray eyes, they looked like the storms that build out at the deepest furtherest parts of the seas, "I'm nothing more than property....I think she's avoiding me in part because I'm not so...tame-able....I wish to apologize. I wish to workout some of this wild fire within me," he shrugged, "Perhaps you can just get us in the same place..just the three of us."

Isaac made a sympathetic humming sound in response to what Othello said. He wouldn't say it to his new friend, but on one hand he understood why they kept him collared and tried to control him so much. Othello was unpredictable after all. But he also understood what it was like to feel like property, or to be controlled like that. He had been in the same situation when he was a worker in Coheed, but even in Nevermere, he felt that he would always be considered different. "They should realise what an asset you could be if they respected you", he said, which he meant. If they treated Othello with respect, he had the feeling that the man would be more than willing to voluntarily help out. Maybe he would do even more than he was currently doing.

"I'll talk to her next time I see her, but, uh", he said, getting a bit more quiet during the last part of his sentence. "I don't know her that well, so I don't know if she'll listen to me." He looked at the fire. "What's her story, like, her own, and with the king?" He glanced at Othello. "The king told me to look for a wife, and I got the feeling he suggested Regan or Alys, but I don't know. Regan seems... Preoccupied with the king himself."

"Well I hope you have your respect friend, because you've gained mine, no one's ever said that," Othello clapped Isaac on the back, "And thank you that's all I ask, if the answer is no, no harm right?"

As for Isaac's next line of questioning Othello shrugged a bit, "I mean she's an orphan, spent all her life in an orphanage and ain't the properest lady commoner...so what ever their deal is, well it beats me. She's a King's girl and soldier through and through is all I know, so good luck with that if that's the King's wishes...either of them, but your best bet...find a pretty noble witch, soldier or nah, and just be happy."

He braced for the impact because he expected the clap on the back to have more power behind it than Othello intended, given his strength. A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. "You're most welcome", he said. Othello was a good man. You just needed to understand him.

He asked about Regan, and listened to what Othello told him. The King had definitely asked something big of him if he expected him to try to marry Regan. He decided he would simply have to talk to her about it, at one point. Not now. "A pretty noble witch", he repeated. "As a commoner and a born Coheedsman, that'll be quite the miracle if I manage to make that work." He sighed and leaned back a bit. "Whatever pleases the king, right?"

"Aye, to the King's well wishes," Othello grunted a little bitter, "We'll make it in this world Isaac far longer than any fat lord and Lady I can promise you that friend," Othello picked back up his instrument playfully strumming, "How are you feeling about going back to Coheed?"

There was definitely some irritation there, but Isaac couldn't blame his friend for that. He chuckled a bit at the mention of the fat lord. The man was right, though. They both had much more experience in life, and they would survive for longer, because they knew more. They had been in these kingdoms already. While they were casually talking, the nobles on the Tour were gobbling everything up with their eyes. They couldn't get enough of it.

"No, but it is what it is", he said, a bit flatly but mostly because there was nothing he could do about it. "It's worth it. You don't say no to going to Coheed if the King asks you to be his guard for the tour. What about you?"

"I'm going to lay low for the most part, Ögge," Othello grunted, "I got married to one of your people ya see..got married...had a Benjamin...then Nevermere yoked me out, I asked to have them brought to Nevermere but Ögge she wouldn't conform to more proper living and," Othello made the noise of passing wind, an innuendo 'gone like the wind', "She left me Benji...and I let him down. I mean he'll have better...what I can't give him, I'm a bit worried she might club my head in," he looked at Isaac grinning, "So I'm excited about going back..."

Othello kept surprising Isaac. "I didn't know you had a son", he said, empathy in his voice. "I have children in Coheed. I don't know if they will know who I am." He sighed. "If she joined those Parabolti, you might need to look out for her." He laughed, trying to cheer Othello up a little. "And if it really goes south, I'll distract her and you can tell my kids who I am."
