[For Florina Bellerose]
The town square. Even though it sounded like just a boring old square, there was always some kind of activity going on. No matter what kind of weather it was, there would be vendors on the street, trying to sell the noblewomen all kinds of chocolates and goods. Children would often be seen playing on it while their parents were enjoying a beverage in one of the taverns connected to the square. The latest public execution was behind them, and it hadn't found place here but at the palace, but occasionally there would be executions here too. Today, the most exciting thing that was happening was a public announcement, announcing that king Cassian Rainecourt was getting better again. He had been ill for some time, but now it seemed like he was doing better. It was a relief to her, although most Lorendalers didn't care too much for the king. Their loyalty lied with the queen.
Scout wasn't there for the announcement, though. She had just followed the man who was supposed to give the announcement when he left the palace so she had some company on her way downtown. Once she was there, she was just observing the people, keeping an eye out for any trouble or any gossip that could provide her with information on whatever was going on in Lorendale right now. Gossip about attacks, gossip about the Eldouir, anything.
The gossip would have to wait, though. The sounds of an argument caught her attention, especially since the voices belonged to children. When she turned around, she saw that some kids had been having a snowball fight, but for some reason this had resulted into an actual fight. A tall, dark-haired boy was yelling at a smaller boy because the snowball had hit him in the face. "I'm blind, you doofus!" he yelled out, shoving the kid which resulted in him falling over. The Lady Steward sighed and made her way over there, bending over a bit to be at eye-level with the tall kid. She gently wiped her thumb over his eye a few times before taking a step back. "There, the snow is gone now. Don't fight about this. It's just a little snow."
