The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!
She saw Othello Allemeade coming towards her in the corner of her eye so when he tried to kick her it wasn't surprising. So jumping back slightly just in time as well. However doing this with @elletta incantation would of surprised Zarha However, as she landed knowing that she won't be able to get out of the way, dug her feet into the ground for balance as she was pushed back.
Even though before she would fancy a chance of fighting Elletta and Othello together, because challenge, however, she knows that there is a risk in doing that and all about finding her limits. She looked towards @elletta, hoping that she will work along with her with a smirk on her face. "Okay big guy. Show us what you are made off." She looked towards Aldrich Abbott and saw that he is just watching.
Zarha know the Elletta was more powerful when it came to magic so she hopes that she can focus on that well as she distracts him. Zarha closed the gap towards him and take a swing at him towards the rib change.
Kat watched as everything unfolded. She had been given instructions to watch and monitor, and the Othello development was just fine in her opinion. He was right. Battle wasn't just two people going against each other, even if that had been the original plan. Really it was far more conductive, making teams would have been more effective, but she wasn't going to stop but monitor it.
"Adapt, things are changing and always can continue to." And with that she sent an incantation firing towards Othello Allemeade . There would always be things flying around, and she flicked her eyes back over to the boys, half-wondering if they would join in the brawl.
Elletta's grin turned just that side of feral, teeth all out. Aldrich Abbott didn't stop it, Vesper Delvaux didn't say anything, and @katerina joined with some magic so it looked like it might be a free for all. And she was going to take advantage of it!
Her gaze caught Zarha Sliva's for a split second before she charged at Othello Allemeade with a gut punch of her own.

There were plenty of eyes on Zarha Sliva, Othello Allemeade and @elletta, so Aldrich moved on from that group to keep an eye on Octavius Wulfbrand and @berengar mainly, although he would also be throwing an occasional glimpse at the witches. Kat had given them a challenge by bringing an incantation into existence, and he knew she was a capable witch, so he was sure everything would go just fine.

Octavius nodded at the instructions given, a little too ashamed to make eye contact with Kay, and focused his full attention on Berenger, ready to receive. The other man didn’t try anything too fancy, and Octavius blocked and countered. Nothing fancy. Nothing tricky. Just a man following orders, one who perhaps clearly didn’t want to be there. Was his face pale?

@katerina incantation would hit Othellk before either Zarha's or Elletta's attacks, the large framed man went sailing before colliding against the sand. He did three rolls before sliding to a stop on his knees, he had a wicked grin on his face before taking off again turning his attention toward @berengar and Octavius Wulfbrand... everyone would need to be involved and he wished in this moment he had his Gift because he would have made the entire area a chaotic mess. Instead he aimed to hook Berengar under his legs by his shoulder and flip the man over his back.
Even as he focused on blocking and countering Wulfbrand’s blows, Ber was not entirely unaware of something happening in his peripherals. Occupied with his current spar, he couldn’t quite look over to see for himself how the pairings had devolved so quickly into whatever they had become, but he did recognize magic when it was flung across the space and connected with someone.
Admittedly, he was significantly less fond of magic being flung around him these days.
Before he could think much about it, however, his own spar was interrupted with a blow to the back of his knees. Ber’s grip tightened on his sword as his legs buckled and he found the ground rushing at him as he flew over someone’s – had to be Othello Allemeade ’s – back. Outstretched hands and knees broke his fall into something a little more coordinated, though the sudden impact with the ground still stunned him for a moment before instinct kicked in. He had to move.
With one hand on his sword, he rolled to the side to try to dodge whatever attack he expected would follow. Simultaneously, he grabbed a handful of loose sand and flung it at the Gifted man’s face to try to buy himself some time to get back to his feet.
Kat smiled as Othello made his way over to the boys as well, but now that it was a fight between different genders, it was best to put some reins on this situation. The last thing she needed was for the first training to end up with everyone going to the medics. Although it would be extremely realistic... Just saying.
"No more magic if you are all going to fight together. Next one who does gets staff duties for a week." Did she have that power? Probably not, but they didn't have to know that. And while advantages were important to use, you also had to know when it wasn't applicable. Like fighting with our own. "Good recovery Allemeade and good strategy Stormcrest."
Well her hit whiffed since Othello Allemeade was blasted back by @katerina's magic. She could roll with that, and the new no magic rule was fine by her. It wasn't her strongest suit when it came to combat anyway.
Gaining her footing back, she turned to grin at Zarha Sliva before darting in to take advantage of @berengar and Othello's distractions to swipe both of their feet out from under them if she could.

Aldrich was still there, but merely observing how the duo's has turned into one big pile of soldiers fighting each other. @katerina seemed to have everything under control, and he wanted to see her handle the training for a bit. He hadn't instructed her to take over the observing role over the whole group, but he liked that she had taken it on without a doubt.

Okay, so this was happening. Knowing that somebody like Othello could get hatic and unpredictable because A: He is Othello, that is an explanation in itself. Othello is a definition of crazy. Plus B they have not really working together as a group before it is hard to see how each one works.
She didn't notice that @elletta grinning in her direction her main focus was Othello. As Ber throw sand in his direction she would run towards Othello Allemeade and just as she was close enough jump in the air just high enough to try and do a flying kick on the base of his back.

Well, what started as a spar with Berenger quickly became a partnership--at least for Octavius. Othello Allemeade, though encouraged to be considered their comrade, was a foreigner to Wulfbrand. When the tables turned, so too did Octavius' focus. He wouldn't aim to hurt the other man, of course, but he would come in fast with his sword, intending to force him back, hoping to give Berenger an opportunity to get to his feet and counter. He didn't expect Elletta to get involved...

Othello wasn't born yesterday, some of the sand hit Ber's intended target Othe had got a hand up loosely blocking his eye, but before he could follow up Elletta was taking him off his feet just as Zarha came in like a flying wild banshee kicking Othello in the back sending him yet again to the ground in a laughing tumble. He did see the one unknown had attempted to step up but Elletta had took that out of the picture...
...Othello was back up on his feet, still determined, "i want all of you!"
Between Octavius Wulfbrand and @elletta , Ber had more than enough time to push himself back to his feet and regain his bearings. Sword in hand, he assessed the utter chaos that the training session had become: both had Zarha Sliva and Othello Allemeade fell to the ground, though as he watched, the latter climbed to his feet and issued a challenge to face off against all of them simultaneously. Well then. He cast a quick glance toward Aldrich Abbott and @katerina to see if either of them had any objections, but in the absence of any interruptions, he would circle around Othello Allemeade until he was at the Gifted man’s back. Then, hoping to take advantage of whatever distractions the others provided, he would rush forward and attack.
Kat had objections. ”No! Everyone for themselves doesn’t mean four on one. This is training for all of you not for one.” Her voice was loud and if anyone pretended not to hear she wasn’t beyond getting involved. This was not a session to make sure Othello was strong it was a chance to for them all to experience some of the chaos of battle. Anyone who seemed to be refusing to attack who was easier or most advantageous would be dealt with. If they didn’t listen then it would be time to send in a nice strong incantation to break the whole thing up.
