The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

5 whole years of Heir Apparent goodness! When I started the site, I knew I was hunkering down for the long haul, but I never could have predicted the numerous twists and turns this roleplay site has seen. Hundreds of plots, characters, and members have come and gone, all leaving marks on the site. I am so very thankful for those who have invested. Because you keep coming back, keep getting on, and keep writing, Heir Apparent has the legacy it does today. Three cheers to us!

This whole thing was just beginning to become way too chaotic for him, and he agreed with @katerina .
"That's enough", he barked over the courtyard. He would wait for the soldiers to stop fighting, and to look at him.
"You're taught better than this", he continued, with an angry voice. "This isn't your playtime, soldiers. You don't get to all do whatever you want."
At first he had liked the idea of having Othello randomly attack someone, but now it had become annoying to observe.
"This is my free time, and I'm done with this now. Clean up your shit and go to your bunks. It's late, get some sleep, and most importantly," he looked around, "grow the fuck up and leave me the fuck alone."
Apparently a training session that wasn't mandatory meant for these soldiers that they could do whatever they wanted. Kat had told them to adapt, not to all gang up on Othello. The champion was like this special, shiny toy that people just couldn't resist interacting with. He was growing tired of it.
We won't call it quits. We'll call it the start.

Vesper had hoped that it would all end with her feeling more confident in the capability of the soldiers. Instead she was met with disappointment. Having remained silent throughout the training, watching closely, she made several notes and as Captain Abbott dismissed the soldiers with angry words on their behavior she gave him a look that clearly expressed that she had agreed the training had been lacking. While looking a him she tapped the quill against the parchment as if adding a very distinct period before tucking her notes away.
The primary application of his Gift, which is Metalkinesis, is the mental control over magnetism and the manipulation of both ferrous and nonferrous metal.

and everything stopped, Othello stood breathing heavily watching as everyone began to leave, "what the fuck?" he grumbled, did they not understand Othello needed this? The release. He wasn't going to hurt anyone, sour puss. Othello huffed and took off without a word.
Winters shouted her instruction too late; trying to take advantage of the Gifted man’s distraction, Ber had already launched himself at Othello, eager for the challenge. Then Abbott abruptly cut everything short. Irritation replaced the adrenaline that coursed through his veins.
What was wrong with people? Between Sliva and Abbott, why could no one finish the fight they started? With that attitude, they’d lose in Dresmond before they even began the fight.
After watching Othello stalk off, he glowered at Abbott - and at Winters, too, because he could - before doing the same himself.
Looking at Aldrich Abbott , she was slightly confused, but apparently he didn’t trust those gathered to follow her most recent directive. Kat was slightly annoyed but it was his call not hers, so all she could do was stand there and watch. So far they had followed her orders in the chaos, the witches hadn’t used magic so why not have a little faith it wouldn’t turn into a four on one? She certainly loved exercises like that back in her training, and sneaking up on someone who thought they were dealing with another opponent was a skill worth learning.
Maybe she was just going to need to run some of her own trainings, and maybe it was time for that last year of basic training fight rings to make their way back to prominence. Some of them could certainly use it if they thought it was as easy as ganging up on one guy. It would take work, something Kat didn’t usually do on principle, but it might be worth it in this case.

Zarha looked towards everyone who was leaving. She felt annoyed at Abbott. Weren't they following orders? She went in she didn't expect everybody else to follow. She has no fucking control over what everybody else doing. She was if there was allowed to go ahead go and attack @elletta again she just wanted. However when Abbott called it off and everybody started leaving she turned to Elletta. "You should rest it been a long day. I clean up here." Not that she wanted to be left alone she was annoyed at the situation and wished that Abbott saw that they was taking this as serious.

They had welcomed chaos, until it didn’t look the way they wanted it to. Well, like it or not, these soldiers were a team. No one rode alone into battle—no smart soldier, anyway.
Octavius stood down as soon as Kat told them to, but his eyes flickered to Abbott in confusion. It had been an unstructured training from the start. Of course, a fellow trainer, Octavius had his thoughts and opinions…but he was a good soldier and he kept his mouth closed and fell in line.
