It never stopped in this city, and during the festival, that was doubly true. Even as @temperance leaned down to greet Artos, Thom couldn't keep his eyes from roaming through the crowd, names and faces flickering through his mind. He could honestly say that he knew many of them, by name and reputation at least, by record more often, but some were just a little too notable to completely ignore. @alinore was... well, he couldn't say he had a truly high opinion of her, or her stances on certain things, and the expression on her face left few doubts as to her own opinion towards the lower classes. Exactly what she thought her family's reputation and power had been built off of, he couldn't say, but as she and @meiying drifted past in the crowd, his dark eyes followed them for a moment longer, impassively studious before pulling his attention back into the moment.
"Oh, so much work" he chuckled, the sound breaking out into an actual laugh as she pulled him deeper into the crowd, though he didn't need to stretch his legs too much to catch up and remain at her side, his smile growing as she continued to weave additional flowers into her crown. "But enjoyable work, in its own way. You know how much I enjoy talking to people. Coercing, dealing, occasionally pleading and the like. I'm still hoping it all works out in the end. Just a few small details left to satisfy." And in truth, it wasn't really even 'work', since it was wholly personal in nature, albeit somewhat nerve-wracking.
He had opened his mouth to say something else when she gestured towards the dancers, a grin flashing over his lips as he followed her gaze down to Artos. "I mean, you can certainly try with him, though I feel it's going to be more enthusiasm than skill. And if he gets too excited, he might just start knocking people over, and I suppose we can't have that." A little click of his tongue and flick of his fingers, and the large fluffball sank down on his haunches obediently, though the wildly wagging tail was still a bit of a tripping hazard. "But yes, I can dance. I'm not the best at it, but... I can guarantee enthusiasm so long as you're my partner.
