The Montgomery family was well known for the excellent breeding of hunting dogs and every so often they would have a large scale sale of puppies, usually when they had many litters at once and not all could be sold in a reasonable amount of time. Today was one such day. Of the five breeds of dogs that the Montgomerys focused on, all five breeds had recently had litters and while most had already been sold, there were a handful still available.
The sale had been advertised around Loren with fliers and word of mouth, with a special note at the bottom that mentioned that some of the puppies were even in a price range that a commoner could afford one and was taking place on the front lawn of the family manor. A small wooden enclosure that was easy to see over had been put up and all the puppies were playing around on the grass. Members of the family were around to answer questions and help out whoever was interested in buying.
These dogs were all known to come from excellent hunting dog lineage and all had been neutered so that someone else could not breed them and profit off of them. While most of these dogs were so pricy that only nobles could afford them, there were a few that had discounted prices for various reasons.
Anyone who showed up was also informed that training in hunting could be added on at an additional price in order to get the most out of each hunting dog.
October stood with his parents, sister, and their little 3 year old nephew. His own dogs, Faye and Grym, were laying nearby in the grass simply observing the goings on. October was even eyeing one of the puppies though he had no real need for another dog of his own.
