The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

Our dearest and lovely admin welcomed her new baby boy, Jet, on Sept 7th! We're so happy for her and her family! Congratulations Mama!! Your boys are all so lucky to have such an incredible mom to love them! God bless!
Just when you thought they were gone, they came back.
The queen had used her port key to get to Nevermere, and from there she was able to return to Lorendale. She wouldn’t have more than three minutes before news of the Eldouir return spread like wildfire.
They should have cleaned up the blood. Since they didn’t, Hiram was able to use it to bring them back. All of them. Elena, husk of the person that she was, rest in his arms. Hiram’s face was that of an unhappy man.
“I expect answers.” He said coldly, not caring who was or wasn’t in the throne room in that moment. It was only about thirty minutes or so since they had originally met it. He turned to Honora, expecting her gift to give them insight.
Arynnite armor: The armor have two states: active and inactive. When inactive, they look like little more than ornate metal bracers, easily ignored. When triggered, the armor covers Tybalt and serves as an exoskeleton. It will protect its wearer from physical damage and is practically indestructible.
The armor has a certain "preprogrammed" purpose which is to protect its host. To do so, it reacts to heightened emotional states such as fear and anger, at which point the armor will trigger regardless of whether or not Tybalt wants it to or even if he's immediately aware of the threat. It has some degree of awareness and sentience although very basic and one which struggles to differentiate between enemies and friends. Whilst not actually in possession of a will, the armor can guide or direct its host in a specific action, much like a reflex.
The armor needs to be "fed" as Tybalt has discovered meaning that he must hold and absorb through touch certain metals such as steel, copper, iron and tin, a process which takes a few minutes. Without which, the armor will begin to weaken and become less effective until no longer able to manifest.
Perhaps its greatest weakness is that if being consistently bashed or beaten, it would begin to repair itself by using parts of the armor from elsewhere. For instance, if the wearer is being consistently hit in the chest, the armor will begin to pool away from other parts of their body such as the feet and hands, leaving them vulnerable.

The Eldouir were back.
Great. It was panic again. Tybalt might have rolled his eyes if it weren't for the seriousness of the situation. At least they didn't have to go redhead hunting...
This time, the commander would be taking no chances. "Evacuate this section of the palace. If there are any witches to be found have them sent." There would be some gifted coming in, with luck Remiel Allemeade would be among them. It might not be enough though. Tybalt was acutely aware of that much. If Augustus Rainecourt , and Phaedra Rainecourt-Marx were still nearby, he would caution them. "I'll see what he wants. No sense in risking more of us than necessary. I would advise that you seek some shelter. My armor will protect me to an extent, but it won't do the same for you."
Tybalt had no idea of just what had transpired in Arynn Frey, nor what had befallen their prisoner. In that respect, he was going in blind, and no doubt woefully unprepared.
Depending on who, if anyone chose to accompany him, the commander would answer the intruder's summons. The man would enter without his armor, trusting it to protect him if necessary. As soon as he spotted Honora however, he knew that he might as well had strayed in naked. Still, the commander hid any doubts and fears that he might have had. "That will depend on the question." Tybalt folded his arms across his chest, and raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you find what you were looking for in Arynn Frey?"

Blast Generation - Avalon is able to generate blasts of powerful, pressurized air at whatever she targets.
A pressure-force generates in her core that creates a blast. She can direct this blast at people or objects. This means that if someone stands in the way of the blast force, it will not go through the person but hit them instead. If someone knows about her Gift and is feeling heroic, they would be able to throw themselves between her and her target to intercept her attack. This would result in them taking the blow.
The force of power behind Avalon’s blast is determined by how much she “charges” the attack. Charging looks like her focusing contained magical power into her core that she then releases at will. An attack with lesser pressure will be generated and released in a single post. An attack with moderate power will be charged for one post and released in the next post. Her most powerful blasts need to be charged for two posts and released in the third. For context, the most powerful blast from Avalon can tear apart stone, earth, and sometimes even metals.
Apart from power, Avalon can also manipulate the size and precision of her attacks. Sometimes they are large and all-encompassing, like a hurricane, and sometimes they are small and specific, like the loosing of an arrow. She can release any size in a single post, and the wreckage it causes is then determined by how much power she charged into it.

The blood has swallowed them and had brought them back to Lorendale. She wore it proudly. While it wasn't her Gift, she liked being covered in blood. It showed what the Eldouir were capable of. That they would stop at nothing, and that if you fucked around, you would find out that your blood could end up on an Eldouir's body as well.
Her brows were low, a rimple between them on her forehead, a bewildered look in her eyes. She stood next to Hiram, close to Elena, looking at her sister with pain in her heart. Akagi had already paid for what he had done, but she wasn't satisfied yet. She would make anybody that didn't provide answers pay as well, if need be.
"Watch your time, pretty boy", she growled at Tybalt Zane, finding his question too cocky for her liking.
[OOC: Remiel is with Scout at the Allemeade Keep and won't be able to make it to the palace until the next morning]

Augustus was engaged in conversation with Phaedra Rainecourt-Marx and Tybalt Zane when the blood around them started to stir. Though only a quarter of an hour had elapsed since the Eldouir swept up his niece—maybe more, but not much—it seemed it had been an eternity. Instinctively Augustus put himself between him and his wife.
“Go,” He’d hiss, “Go, warn the others.” Augustus would urge her with a nudge if needed, but he would not flee himself. His niece—thank all above them—was nowhere to be seen. So in her absence…
“Stand down, Commander,” Augustus said, speaking to Tybalt and stepping forward, “There’s no reason we cannot settle this peaceably.” For one man—enchanted armor or no—would not be able to defeat the Eldouir alone. And in the queen’s absence, Augustus was the figure of greatest authority.

Honora understood her cue. Hiram’s mind was starting to become a familiar fixture, so it didn’t take much (gift or no gift) to know what she was being asked and when. Her mind reached out like a spreading fog, fingers reaching and tugging on whoever it could find. And Augustus Rainecourt was first.
Do not resist.
And Honora, resistance or no, would delve into his mind, seeking generalities rather than plunging in for details that would have had the prince on his knees.
“The queen arranged for Elena to be held in prison,” Honora said, walking closely to Hiram Eldouir and speaking with only as much volume as was necessary to be heard by him alone, “but whatever the Arynnite king did to her, it was not at Iliana’s bidding. It was her expectation Elena would yet stand trial.” Let us have no more bloodshed this day, Commander, Honora thrust the words into Tybalt Zane’s mind as an urgent whisper, I can help you. So long as you do not act rashly. She’d lace her words with calm, trying to reassure Tybalt (rightly or wrongly) with the sense they were on the same side.

Hiram grit his teeth at Honora’s words, looking at Elena in his arms. This wasn’t her. It was her, but empty. He had seen this look before. It was the way the Dresmondi whose dyrs had been killed became. He had killed enough of them to know. They lost themselves, somewhere, and roamed the earth aimlessly from that moment on. It could not be so for Elena. Hiram didn’t realize he was shaking her, as if trying to wake someone.
“Find her. Find her mind. Fix her.” He demanded these things of Honora, pushing Elena’s body up against the gifted, knowing proximity made her more powerful. In this moment he didn’t care about Tybalt or Augustus. He wanted Elena.

Phaedra was all too happy to leave at Augustus’ bidding. Running out abruptly, however, would be akin to inviting a dog to the chase. She inched, slowly, not wanting to draw attention to herself, and would gracefully and gradually slip out of the room if left alone to go and warn those she could.

Tybalt could more or less put things together. With every passing moment, his heart began to sink, and true terror crept into every fibre of his body. The commander's sensitive ears allowed him to pick up on the exchange between Honora, and Hiram. Something had happened in Arynn Frey... Initially, the man had assumed Elena to be simply unconscious. He could still hear her heart beating within her chest after all. Yet their words made it clear that something had happened.
Honora's words would cause him to pause, and hesitate. You could end all of this if you wanted to... Was all that the commander could think as an accusatory response.
He would do what he could to move over towards the only remaining royal in the room, as his Royal Guard instinct took over again. If he was allowed, Tybalt would creep over towards him, and whisper: "You need to leave... Now." He didn't think that Elena would be waking up. When that reality hit home, the commander could only imagine the fallout.

Honora's voice was quiet, but Avalon was close enough to hear her speak to Hiram. Her eyes lingered on the blond. She was being such an obedient puppy. Apart from Myla and Hiram, she didn't even talk to any other Eldouir. Ava kept wondering what Honora was up to. Allemeades weren't to be trusted.
But her words made her even more glad that she had killed Akagi. If the queen hadn't ordered whatever had happened to Elena, then why had he done it?
Avalon kept an eye on Hiram and Augustus, but also saw Phaedra. Did she need to be stopped? She glanced at Hiram, but decided not to stop the woman. She was tired of doing all the work. She had just killed a man, and she hadn't heard any praise yet!

Augustus would not respond to Tybalt Zane with words. He’d put a hand on the man’s shoulder in response before stepping forward toward the Eldouir. He’d come to have affection for the commander. He was a patriot, a true son of Lorendale, the kind they just didn’t make anymore. Unfortunately, Augustus was also cut from the same cloth. And so, the prince stayed.
“The commander is only concerned for my safety. For all of our safety,” Augustus addressed Avalon Eldouir politely as if she were an ordinary noble who’d sought an ordinary audience, “But I believe there is no need for such concerns. I believe that we can reach an understanding in a civilized manner.” The word civilized tasted like vinegar. There was nothing civilized about the Eldouir.
But, his manner remained calm. Authoritative, but not threatening.

Could I? Honora responded to Tybalt Zane , flinging the words into his mind with frustration, You overestimate my power and underestimate theirs. Don’t be a fool. The last sentence was gentle. Pleading, even.
When Hiram shoved Elena toward her Honora, hands moved to catch her, as he wasn’t sure whether he would let her go entirely. But he didn’t. Elena was cradled between them, the only sign of life the rise and fall of her chest. Honora reached for the side of her face, brow furrowing as she searched for her. Searched, but did not find. Honora’s eyes didn’t glaze, her expression growing more confused with every moment. There was nothing. It was as if Elena were an object. Unliving, unfeeling. Her mind not just wiped but the vessel that holds one being taken away entirely. Instead, she felt another presence. An energy coming from elsewhere. From Avalon Eldouir .
“The diamond…” Honora said calmly, holding out her hand in Avalon’s direction with her eyes still on Elena, “If you please.”

For Hiram, the world had gone dark except for Elena and what Honora would do to help her. To fix this. When Honora asked for the diamond Hiram looked up frantically at Avalon. If she didn’t move quickly enough he would move her himself.

Tybalt was a little confused about what was happening. Well, to be fair, less what was happening, more why it was happening here, and now. Even by Eldouir standards deciding to bring a body into Lorendale's courtroom to try a little resurrection seemed like an odd idea. Either they were so confident in their powers, and abilities as to not fear any potential repercussions, or there was something he was missing. "Is Hiram here to fix this, or because he wants a head?" Tybalt would try to question Honora, assuming she was still near enough his mind to answer.
When Augustus again refused to flee Tybalt would stiffen, but do nothing. It wasn't as if he could stuff the man under his arm, and run for the hills with him. Actually, he could probably have tried, and for a moment, it was a tempting thought indeed. The commander had lost too many Rainecourts under his watch to be careless with their lives. They had a bad habit of getting killed. The queen, a woman whom he cared for deeply, was AWOL as it was. Not knowing where she was, he could only pray for her safety.
The commander would choose to stay close to Augustus, reasoning that at the very least if/when things turned south, he might at least be able to grab a hold of him, and try to shield him from the onslaught that the Eldouir could unleash. It wasn't much, a small chance but all he currently had.

She heard Augustus Rainecourt' response, but didn't look at him. She was too busy with Honora Allemeade and Elena right now. She watched the blonde as she looked for her sister's soul, eventually asking for the diamond. Hesitantly, she took it out from between her breasts. She really didn't want to give Honora the stone, but she obeyed and placed it in her hand.
"I hope you know what you're doing", she said, mostly directed at Hiram Eldouir, for trusting Honora, but also at Honora. If she did anything stupid with the diamond, Avalon wouldn't hesitate to kill again.

Augustus knew better than to keep prodding. He would stand by, watching the scene unfold as the diamond was produced. The prince had spent extensive time in Arynn Frey, and for an experienced eye it didn’t take much of a leap for him to surprise just what significance the diamond held.
The prince took a few slow, measured steps backward, as if a bomb were about to go off and quick movement would only hasten it.
