The peace that formerly reigned in Terra Nova has eroded, now little more than a memory. War ravages the continent. Disputes divide kingdoms; ideals divide families. The quest for power consumes absolutely and indiscriminately. None are immune to its allure.
Who will rise and who will fall? Only time—and ambition—will tell.

In Hiram’s defense, to interject an objective take, there was no evidence to prove he had manipulated Florina’s blood. Annabeth had said so, but she also had no proof. In thee medieval times, did they even know to accredit pulsing genitals to increased blood flow? Surely not! It was assumed to be a result of the mind. If anything, defaulting her desire to embarrassing base instincts was the likelier conclusion. Now, drinking the blood from her nose? Guilty as charged.
He liked the way her blood began to race when he gave himself the title. She seemed able to conclude his identity. He was flattered. More than that, he was turned on, absolutely no blood manipulation necessary.
“You don’t need to be afraid.” He said quietly, his voice having dropped to a hush, once secretive and intimate. He beheld her with open wonder. “Gifteds have had to be afraid in Lorendale for too long. I’ve returned to change that.” Whether this statement was premeditated or simply worked on his lips now, it was said, and upon being said it was so.

Gianna, distracted and unengaged, excused herself to the bathroom. She didn’t want to be there anymore, but she’d hang around quietly until her party was ready to leave…assuming nothing transpired.
Magic Detection: The ability to detect magic. The user can judge magical aptitude, pinpoint magic being used within a mile vicinity, and even detect when potent magic has formerly been used in a space. The magic may originate from a living thing or from an object, it does not matter. There is no restriction to the kind of magic that the user can detect. The weakness is the spatial awareness limitation, and while the user can detect the presence of magic, they cannot detect the specific kind of magic being used.

Florina could sense magic, and although she would not attribute his ability to manipulate blood to her aroused emotions, she would know that his magic touched her in some way. However, (more as a note for reference for me for later use) after she realized who he was and what his gift was, she would wonder what he had done with his magic when he touched her with it since she could not fathom how his gift could effect her emotions. It had to be an embarrassing base reaction because Hiram Eldouir was an attractive man who was looking at her the way that he was.
She didn’t need to be afraid? She nearly scoffed at the notion, “I am always afraid,” her husband had made sure of that, and it shamed her. She hated how skittish she’d become. It was pathetic at best. Swallowing, she looked into his face, and saw the wonder in it. No one had looked at her like that in a long time. If ever. Again, it opposed what she had been taught about the Elouir, the things she had heard of them doing. His words of Gifted living in fear was not wrong, and her mind went to her new assistant with the collar. It had disgusted her, “There is a certain sense of security in Loren, but the people who say they will protect you are often the ones that harm you. How do I know that your declaration of changing the circumstances of the gifted populace’s plight is not an empty promise?” Reports of Eldouir activity within and outside of the realm always seemed to be violent. If he was being genuine, his methods may not be something she could willingly side with.

His lips turned up in a slow smile despite the rejection, licking his lips. Quinton now felt genuine love, but he was still Quinton Featherton. He was disappointed that she did not allow him to kiss her. He could practically taste her lips, the heat of her skin, “Feeling shy?” He purred before allowing more space between them, “Very well.”
He chuckled, and held onto her hand and allowed her to lead him from the room, images of the two of them disrobing consuming his mind, “I do love a good surprise, petal.”

Mysie Allemeade didn't know much, and Scout said a quick goodbye before turning away from her. She didn't like what was happening here. When Honora Allemeade and Quinton Featherton started to leave the dancefloor, and the doom altogether, Scout would follow behind them at a distance. She stayed far back enough that they wouldn't immediately notice that someone was following them. She didn't want to interrupt just yet, she needed to see what was happening.

Post by Cezar Scorza on Apr 11, 2024 13:18:24 GMT -5
Cezar found Avalon Eldouir's attention on Tallis Scorza to be amusing. He could see the heat and interest in her eyes but he knew that if she wanted Tallis physically then she was going to be left wanting. His twin simply didn't have that kind of desire as most did. It was something he himself had struggled with when he was so far the opposite. He knew that feeling of longing and desire but had had to find other outlets than the one he really wanted.
Avalon moved with grace and ease but sensuality too and Cezar moved to match her. He had no qualms in allowing his hands to wander, playing over her back like a skilled violinist, his body curved against hers. He leaned in to whisper to her, his heated breath like a kiss beneath her ear. "We've been missing you. Have you come back permanently?" he asked, his voice full of hope and desire. They had been waiting for the Eldouir to return but what was there goal here at this time?

Scorza! Even Azazel was familiar with that name. He may have been young when they left but he he had paid attention. People didn't often think he did but he often surprised people when he was able to give information back to them when they thought he hadn't been listening.
He grinned at the look Tallis Scorza gave Acacia Scorza. "Well, you know we never like things dull either. Maybe we can change that. Maybe," he said, taking a step closer to the two of them. "We can change that together." No, Azazel was not the one to talk to in order to make any real decisions but that was hardly the point.
"Dance with me," he said, half a demand and half a request. "Both of you." He reached out both of his hands hoping they would each take one and they could be quite the fun little spectacle all together.

Honora laughed softly, enough to convince the man she’d made drunk on love. She took his hand and let him from the room, letting Hiram steal the show as she took the host away.
“Then let me surprise you…” The words were as tantalizing as the lust that she now piped into Quinton’s mind (as if it needed much assistance). She’d make for the exit with Quinton Featherton’s hand in hers, glancing back at him with a face that would seem to shine with beauty.

With a grin, Tallis accepted Azazel Eldouir’s hand and would pull Acacia Scorza along with her—provided the woman did not protest. She’d glance mischievously at her husband, who was looking rather friendly with Avalon Eldouir. She raised an eyebrow before returning her full attention o the Eldouir in front of her. She kept Hiram Eldouir in the corner of her eye, not forgetting who it was that mattered most in her quest for the Scorza’s return.
Blast Generation - Avalon is able to generate blasts of powerful, pressurized air at whatever she targets.
A pressure-force generates in her core that creates a blast. She can direct this blast at people or objects. This means that if someone stands in the way of the blast force, it will not go through the person but hit them instead. If someone knows about her Gift and is feeling heroic, they would be able to throw themselves between her and her target to intercept her attack. This would result in them taking the blow.
The force of power behind Avalon’s blast is determined by how much she “charges” the attack. Charging looks like her focusing contained magical power into her core that she then releases at will. An attack with lesser pressure will be generated and released in a single post. An attack with moderate power will be charged for one post and released in the next post. Her most powerful blasts need to be charged for two posts and released in the third. For context, the most powerful blast from Avalon can tear apart stone, earth, and sometimes even metals.
Apart from power, Avalon can also manipulate the size and precision of her attacks. Sometimes they are large and all-encompassing, like a hurricane, and sometimes they are small and specific, like the loosing of an arrow. She can release any size in a single post, and the wreckage it causes is then determined by how much power she charged into it.

Cezar know how to carry himself. He knew how to light a fire. Avalon caught herself wanting, but the signs told her she wouldn't be very successful. This public form of subtle word-foreplay seemed like all she'd be able to get from the man. She suddenly realised she hadn't caught his or his wife's name. She was just about to ask when his warm breath tickled the skin near her ear.
"Who's 'we'?" she asked, leaning her head back a bit with a smile so she could look at him. It was obvious she didn't mean we as in how many people, or him and his wife, but that she was wondering which family was missing them. There weren't many families that liked the Eldouir, and this seemed to be a Gifted family, judging by what the wife had done. Before he answered, she would continue: "We certainly hope to be back permanently, yes. There's only so many Dresmondi to play with before they get boring."
Spider Physiology - the power to possess the abilities of a spider. For Acacia, this consists of five elements (venomous bite, webs, enchanted strength, enhanced eyesight/darkvision, the ability to crawl up walls).
For more information on these elements, see character application.

Avalon looked at Tallis Scorza, who introduced herself as Scorza. She smirked and looked back at Azazel Eldouir. "So, apparently the cat's out the bag, so let me be a bit more honest this time around: the name's Acacia Scorza."
The young man seemed confident and asked them both to dance. She took Azazel's hand, as well as Tallis', and started to dance with the both of them at once. She was... Tired. The evening was interesting, but she was bored. She wanted things to happen. Hopefully this dance could make things more interesting still. She'd let Tallis do the talking.

Hiram smirked at Florina, the hand on her back shifting lower ever so slightly. She had a brain. He liked her. Truth be told, she was probably smarter than him.
“People only ever protect their people.” Hiram returned simply, as if this was the only natural way to do things. “Anything claimed otherwise is an empty promise. Tell me, who are your people?”

Quinton was already feeling the beginnings of a quiver down below, so the wave of utter lust that she sent his way didn’t feel off or too strong in the slightest. He let his eyes rove over her, remembering what she looked like unclothed, how she appeared spread out under him like a buffet full of delights meant only for him. He would let her lead him away, thoughts of the two of them naked, shamelessly rutting with the stars in the sky watching them.
The party would do just fine without him, Eldouir or no.

“It should be that way,” she did not do anything about his hand that had started to wander. It was still in a decent place as far as she as concerned…although the thought that she knew she’d do something about his greedy hand surprised her. She was…comfortable. Or as comfortable as one could be while dancing with an enemy of the kingdom, “But it is not always so. My late husband for example should have protected me since I would have been part of ‘his people,’ yet he was always the one that raised a hand to me.”
As for her people, she considered his question. Was he wanting her family history, or simply her name? She thought of her aunt, but immediately buried her in her mind where she’d be safe. She’d not reveal she was so directly connected to the Rainecourts. Not willingly.
“I am not sure how to answer that,” she started, “My father served in the Hockenhull legion, but they married me off to a Count Bellerose shortly after I was out. He’s dead now.”

Cezar would have to blind to not notice how attractive Avalon Eldouir was. Her curves felt so good under his hands and her skin was as soft as silk. Yet he knew that for an Eldouir she had to wield great power beneath the softer exterior, he wasn't about to underestimate her. The physical desire he had for her was very real, he didn't need to fake that in order to try to keep her attention.
He smiled at her question, his voice remaining quiet enough to only be heard between them. "The Scorzas," he answered with a proud grin. "We are known at the Morands around here but we have no intention from hiding from you...or your family."
He pulled her more tightly against him as they fell into step with a spinning action in the motions of the dance. Her hair, which he know realized was dyed, flaring out behind her as they spun. The contrast to her pale skin was really quite striking. His hand on her back moved low enough to feel the flowers that made up her dress. "Your dress seems so delicate, I'm worried I might cause it to fray," he said though there was a hint in his gaze that said he wouldn't mind doing just that.
